Licensed Property Management in BC

Professional management from a licensed brokerage.

What Does Licensed Mean?

In British Columbia, rental property managers must be licensed through the BC Financial Services Authority (BCFSA) and operate under a brokerage. Licensed managers provide services such as finding tenants, advising on rent, advertising, processing applications, negotiating lease terms, collecting rent and managing the property on behalf of owners. They complete formal education and pass a licensing exam to ensure they understand the Residential Tenancy Act and ethical standards.

By choosing a licensed manager, you benefit from the oversight of a managing broker, trust accounting rules and mandatory errors & omissions insurance. Unlicensed managers cannot legally provide rental management services.
